Suggestions
Here are some suggestions on how to celebrate your special occasions. Please see the Helpful Links page for full details.
Renewal of wedding vows
Book your favourite restaurant or public house for a special lunch time or evening celebration. Arrange the perfect moment to make your unique vows and promises to each other then follow with a lovely meal and a special drink to toast the occasion. If you fancy a party or reception, invite special guests to witness this truly romantic occasion, show them your appreciation by giving gifts or include them as speakers in your ceremony. A wonderful
opportunity to commemorate a special anniversary, enjoy a second ceremony in a different style, or to use any reason to declare your love for each other.
We highly recommend the True Lovers Knot at Tarrant Keyneston, Near Blandford Dorset which even has four rooms named after ‘Love’ for guests to spend a perfectly romantic night.
Child Welcoming/Adoption Ceremony
Find somewhere to keep the children amused for hours such as a forest playground, Leisure Park, Swimming pool or even your own garden. Erect a party tent (for the summer weather – sun or rain!) or hire a mini marquee and get everyone to bring along some party food. Dedicate the day to your children; make them feel special by holding a totally unique ceremony written to celebrate their lives. What better way to introduce them to the whole
family, and make both children and adults feel wanted and welcome by declaring their love and care for their upbringing.
We recommend Western Marquees for all outdoor equipment hire, from cutlery through to the portable roof over your magical party.
Weddings
Remember those romantic places where you enjoyed talks and walks, laughter and love, then think of the most precious surroundings you would like to be amongst when you say ‘I promise, I do, I will’ Just imagine there being no restrictions on where you make your vows, the time of day or the length or content of your ceremony script. Complete this by including as many guests as you wish to make contributions to the service with speakers, singers and
entertainers.
Two marvelous venues that are rather out of the ordinary are:
Chantmarle Manor House, Frome St Quinton Somerset – a stunning building, gardens and grounds. This historic and atmospheric venue meets all your wishes with recommended catering, gorgeous accommodation and
high quality of service
The Coppleridge Inn, Motcombe – a beautiful 18th century barn located in a peaceful rural setting with lovely views. The menus, comfortable guest rooms and relaxed atmosphere ensure a very typical country style celebration.
Alternative Idea's
The Pines & Gartell Light Railway, Templecombe – Enjoy a trip on a narrow-gauge steam railway, set in beautiful rural countryside, followed by a celebration in their purpose built function suite and lakeside picnic area. The function suite seats 200, with licensed bar and caterers available.
